Drawing and Watercolor Class

April 16, 2025 from 3:30 to 4:30. This activity is for children ages 10 - 15 in the Green Room at Cambria Center for the Arts. Make your drawings and paintings feel more realistic by giving them form and shadow. Instead of floating on a page, the image you draw, whether a person, a skateboard, or a horse, will look more substantial and have a place on the page by giving it a light side and a shadow underneath. This class will teach how a light source (sun or lightbulb) affects the form and creates a more believable object. You will draw your favorite subject, define which side is in light, and then learn to make a believable shadow using pencil and watercolor.This workshop is free for Cambria and San Simeon ages 10-15 Donations are appreciated.
