Writing Across Walls is an abolitionist prisoner support groupthat aims to connect LGBTQIA+ prisoners incarcerated at the California Men'sColony with community members on the outside. Members have the opportunity toengage in pen pal relationships with those on the inside, or engage in otherforms of abolitionist action, including prisoner advocacy, political education,and peer support. Allmembers must first participate in our orientation before attending their firstgeneral meeting. To be notified of our next orientation session, fill out our interest form. Must be 18+ to join. Q Youth is a weekly every thursday group for LGBTQ+ youth between 6th and 12th grade! This is an informal social gathering (not therapy) where we hold fun, safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth in middle and high school to eat snacks, play games, socialize, and hang out. Time: 6:00 – 8:00pm.

At this social gathering we will introduce Awakening Ways to those who are seeking a Spiritual Community that truly embraces all expressions of life. 6:00pm-7:30 pm, an LGBTQ Grief Support Group meets through Hospice SLO County, alternating between Zoom meetings and in-person every week. This support group for the LGBTQ+ community is designed to provide emotional support and education about the grief process and to bring comfort through connecting with like-minded individuals. Grief can manifest over many things, from death to losing a loved one due to their lack of affirmation. We are a safe place for trans* and gender non-conforming people, as well as those questioning. The group is restricted to those between the ages of 11 and 18. This is a facilitated informal support group (not therapy) where we hold fund, safe space for trans and non-binary youth. It is a safe place to be heard, to share your story, and to hear stories that may sound surprisingly like your own, to eat snacks, play games, socialize, and hang out. This is a group through Transitions-Mental Health Association. Please note they ask participants to become members of their wellness center before joining their first group.
