“Curtain Up!” - How Broadway Musicals Are Made and Who Makes Them with Michael Devine
Hosted by
Lifelong Learners of the Central Coast
Wed, September 17, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Odd Fellows Hall. Take a journey backstage to explore the twisting, uphill path that a Broadway musical takes to reach the stage. Explore the efforts of the 200+ people who bring that production to life before the overture begins and the curtain goes up on opening night. Our trip will take us from the original concept to the marriage between the creative team and the production team. We’ll then learn how the show is sold, how the production takes shape backstage, and even what role the theatre owners play in the process. Michael Devine is a veteran of 250+ professional productions worldwide. He has also been successful on television and in organizing concerts for the likes of the Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, the Doors and Willie Nelson.. Space is limited. Please register early to reserve your spot! General Admission $12.00. Ticket here: https://www.my805tix.com/e/broadway-musicals/tickets
