Junior Guard Lifeguard in Training (LIT)

Jun 12, 2025 - Jun 13, 2025 on Thu, Fri at 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. For ages 13 - 16 yrs. The Junior Guard Lifeguard in Training course is for individuals who aim to become staff for Junior Guard program. To sign up, you must be able to swim 100 yards in under 2 minutes. The Morro Bay Junior Guard Beach program is designed to increase the participant's appreciation and understanding of the recreational opportunities and hazards associated with the ocean environment. Participants will receive education and hands-on experience in ocean safety, environmental awareness, first-aid, rescue techniques, surfing and paddle boarding, beach activities, physical fitness and marine safety operations. An end of the season party is also included. All instructors and aides are experienced USLA certified beach lifeguards as well as Title 22 First Aid and CPR for the professional rescuer.
