Join ONX Vineyard Stays & Chef Candice Custodio on Wednesday, December 9th, from 6 to 8PM for a festive night of bold flavors, joyful gathering, and Caribbean holiday cheer in Holiday Dishes, Caribbean-Style. Inspired by Puerto Rican holiday tables, this hands-on cooking class celebrates comfort, tradition, and the flavors that bring people together. Guests will cook alongside Chef Candice while learning approachable techniques rooted in culture—designed to feel just as good to make as they do to eat. You’ll build big, soulful flavor using sofrito, citrus, herbs, and fat, then learn to make a flavorful pot of rice using visual and intuitive cues rather than strict recipes. The class will also explore the secrets to tender, oven-roasted pork shoulder—rich, savory, and perfect for holiday tables—balanced with a bright, quick-pickled salad that adds freshness and crunch. To toast the season, guests will prepare coquito, the beloved Puerto Rican coconut milk holiday drink, enjoyed on its own or with rum, while sipping thoughtfully selected ONX wines chosen to complement the bold flavors and festive spirit of the evening. A light starter and sweet finish will be provided, rounding out a cozy, celebratory experience. Throughout the night, Chef Candice will share cultural stories and holiday traditions from Puerto Rico, weaving meaning, memory, and technique into every dish—so you leave not just inspired, but confident recreating these flavors at home. No prior cooking experience is required. All ingredients and equipment will be provided.
