Día de los Muertos Mini Shrines
Hosted by
Paso Robles City Library
Saturday, October 18, 2025 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a celebration in which family and friends gather to remember those who have passed away and create altars to help support their spiritual journey. These altars often include photos of loved ones, possessions that belonged to them, and their favorite foods, along with symbolic sugar skulls and marigolds. On Saturday, October 18th at Paso Robles City Library, we will create our own miniature Day of the Dead shrines to honor our loved ones. Our shrines will feature a "sugar" skull drawing (or bring a picture of your loved one if you prefer), beads and sequins to represent flowers, and a heart (el Corazón) to symbolize your love for the deceased. You are welcome to bring any other small items meaningful to you (no bigger than 1" high) to include as you remember and honor your loved ones. Space is limited. Family groups are welcome to work on a shrine together, however due to the nature of the tools and materials used, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Each person attending must be registered. More information and registration here: https://prcity.libcal.com/event/15242139
