Socrates Café

Join us for Socrates Café, a gathering where people explore philosophical ideas through discussion. Based on the Socratic method of learning, the goal is to work together to create meaning from complex questions. Join us on Tuesday, February 10th, 5:30-7 pm in the Library's Story Hour Room. February's topic will discuss "Should we focus on equality of opportunity or equity of outcome, and why? Can we achieve one without the other?” Black History Month is the perfect time to examine the question of equality vs equity. Should all people be treated equally or should some people be given a leg up to help them achieve their goals? Come join our discussion and share your thoughts on this topic with others. This event is for ages 16+. Registration required.
