Salmon Creek Trail to Estrella Creek Hike

Saturday, March 21, 9- 2 pm. 6.5 miles round trip. 1,300 elevation gain. Moderate to difficult. The Salmon Creek Trail begins at Salmon Creek and follows the southeast wall of the canyon through forests and open slopes. The trail provides views up the canyon and down to the ocean as it leads us to Estrella Camp situated in a large grassy meadow. Driving directions: Drive 27 miles north of Cambria on Hwy 1 to the Big Sur Ranger Station on the right hand side of the road where we will meet and park. What to bring: dress in layers with sturdy shoes, bring food and a minimum of 1.5 liter of water. Participants will be asked to sign a liability form. For more information: call Lorrie: 805-980-8824.
