Every Friday-Saturday 10 am, Sunday, 1:30 pm. Take a scenic ride into the crown jewel of the Central Coast—the historic Santa Margarita Ranch, home of Ancient Peaks Winery’s estate Margarita Vineyard. Out on the ranch, we will wind through the vines on a 12 mile ride and learn about sustainable winegrowing practices as well as the land’s unique geology and abundant native wildlife. Saturday, July 19, 2025 11:00am–12:00pm. Join us for a fun craft! Location: 9630 Murphy Ave, Santa Margarita, CA 93453. This is an introduction to working with oven-baked clay. Sunday School at Santa Margarita Community Church takes place at 9:00am before our Sunday Lord's Day service, so that all can participate in the service afterwards. For Children 2nd-5th Grade: Children's Sunday school follows the Generations of Grace curriculum, which walks through a passage a week and teaches the whole Bible over the course of three years. For 6th Graders-Adults, we will be studying Wisdom Literature. We meet in Santa Margarita Community Hall (22501 I St, Santa Margarita, CA 93453)

Together, we will take a walk on the wild side while we gain an understanding of the role that these organisms play in the Ranch ecosystem. We will learn how to identify these birds using sight and sound and find out why they are so famous. Let's uncover some of the mystery surrounding their lives! This tour includes a scenic ¾-mile hike with minimal elevation gain. If you have mobility concerns, we can happily accommodate as long as weather and road conditions permit. Every Fourth Saturday @ 8:00 pm. Our stargazing site is located in the parking lot of the marina and boat launch at Santa Margarita Lake Park (SMLP). The park is approximately 8 miles south of the town of Santa Margarita, off of Pozo Road. (4695 Santa Margarita Lake Road, Santa Margarita, CA 93453). We highly recommend that you arrive before dark! Once you arrive at the park entrance kiosk, inform the Ranger that you are a CCAS member arriving for our ”Star Party”. You will be given access at no charge (providing your arrival time is reasonably close to sunset.) Ask for directions or simply proceed straight ahead and down the hill 1/4 mile to where the road flattens out at the very wide marina parking lot entrance. Our star party will be located at the parking lot of the marina and boat launch. The telescope area is at the south end of the parking lot beyond the San Luis Rowing Club building. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not permitted at CCAS stargazing activities. No smoking or vaping in the vicinity of the telescopes. Park rules prohibit smoking within 30 feet of any structure, parked boat, trailer, or RV.
