Monthly Mending

February 28th from 1-2:30PM. Our monthly mending workshop is now free, as a service to the community. Help us spread the knowledge to repair your own clothes and fight back against waste. Join us each month for a hands-on mending class where we explore fresh techniques and celebrate creative clothing repair. Every session features a new mending method - from embroidered patches to weaving the moth holes in your sweater, giving you fresh skills to refresh your wardrobe. Connect with fellow mending enthusiasts, swap ideas for clever alterations, and transform your favorite pieces into one-of-a-kind treasures. Perfect for beginners and experienced menders alike - use this as a time to slow down and relax into a timeless craft. February's Mend is Sashiko. Explore ways to apply the traditional stitches of sashiko stitching to your jeans, shirts, jackets and more. Bring items from your mending pile, scraps for patches and any thread or floss you might want to use. Don't have any? We have lots of scraps and thread for you to use!
