St Williams Catholic Church
Every Friday from March 7—April 18, 2025, join us for a dinner of Salmon, Rice Pilaf and Salad at St. William’s Parish Hall for $15.00 per person. Pick up is also available from 5:00pm—6:15pm.
Our Youth Faith Formation classes and events have a great leader, however, she needs many adult volunteers to make all of her classes and events run smoothly. Some of the opportunities to help are weekly, some are sporadic, and some are once a year. However you choose to get involved, your help will be greatly appreciated, and we can guarantee you will benefit from the experience as well. Music is a huge part of our liturgical celebration. Each of our Masses has a wonderful group of talented singers who are always happy to welcome new members. Each group meets to rehearse one hour before their respective Mass and for one or two hours during the week to practice. These practice times vary by group. The job of the Collection Counter is to count the Weekly Offertory Collection from our weekend Masses. You will work with a number of other Counters twice a month, on Mondays, from 9:15am to 11:15am. The exact Mondays you work can be flexible based upon your schedule. Although everyone concentrates on counting the money, there is still time for nice and enjoyable visiting with some of your fellow parishioners. One of the special things we offer at St. William’s is a nice reception in our Parish Hall after funeral services in the church. This is a great group to join knowing you are helping our parishioners and giving them one less thing to worry about in this very difficult time. The funerals happen at 11am in the church, so the reception usually takes place from Noon until approximately 2pm. Besides all of the work the church staff does in terms of food and stocking the kitchen, there is still much to be done before, during, and after the reception. If you decide to join this group, please know you have the option of choosing which part(s) of the work is best for your schedule, etc. The full work of the day is usually from 9am to 3pm, and you can choose to be there the whole time or whatever time block/job works best for you. There is a lot of work to make these receptions happen, but it’s work for a great cause. And the work can be shared by many due to the distinction of each job. Join our team. We really need you! The mission of the St. William’s Parish Altar Society is to increase and nurture the spiritual development of its members and the church community through Lenten and Advent retreats, monthly Altar Society programs, and prayer. In addition, we care for the altar and church, and support and promote activities for the betterment of the parish. All members of the parish, both men and women, are invited to join. Being a member of the Altar Society is a great way to meet and build relationships with other members of the parish. We meet on the first Saturday of each month at the Parish.
