City To The Sea Half Marathon and 5K

November 16, 2025 at 7:30am. Location: City to the Sea 5K Start at 6464 Ana Bay Rd, Avila Beach, CA 93424. The City to the Sea Half Marathon, presented by Running Warehouse, is a breathtaking point-to-point race that begins in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo. The course guides runners past iconic local landmarks, through scenic country backroads, and along the picturesque Bob Jones Trail, culminating at the edge of the Pacific Ocean in the coastal community of Avila Beach. / The Avila-Seaside 5K is an out-and-back course with approximately 75% of the route offering views of the beach, harbor, and ocean. The course briefly joins the Bob Jones Trail before finishing at the Avila Beach Resort. Keep an eye out for sea lions, otters, and whales along the way. The half marathon start time is 7:00 AM, and the 5K starts at 7:30 AM. Whether you’re racing or cheering, plan to stay the weekend and enjoy all that Avila Beach has to offer.
