Cyanotype Printing & Toning with Botanicals with Chrissy Huhn

In this workshop, students will explore the historic photographic process of cyanotype, known for its deep Prussian blue tones, and discover how different botanicals can transform these blueprints into a varied palette of colors. Participants will learn to mix chemistry, coat paper and fabric, and print using both digital negatives and found objects. Through hands-on experimentation with teas, herbs, and other plants, students will tone their prints and explore the expressive possibilities of this alternative process.
