Saturday, May 31, 2025 3:00pm - 4:00pm at Los Osos Library. Calling all teens (aged 13-18)! Looking for volunteer or community service hours? Help Librarian Emily run the Teen Advisory Board! Participation can be listed on job, scholarship and college applications. Help plan teen events, create content for social media, create contest ideas, recommend books, movies and more. Tell me what rad stuff you want to see happen! There will be snacks.

Wednesdays from 3:15 - 4:15 at the Los Osos Library Children's Center. Read your favorite book to Berkeley, a certified therapy dog! Ages 3 and up.

Saturday, May 10, 2025 11:00am - 12:00pm at the Los Osos Library. Join us for our monthly Fiber Arts Club. Bring your project and enjoy camaraderie with like-minded sewers, stitchers, knitters, and all those who work with the fiber arts!

Wednesday, May 14, 2025 6:00pm - 7:00pm at the Los Osos Library. Join us for a TED Talk viewing followed by discussion. May 14 is "Beth Ann Fennelly: How literature can help us develop empathy." Reading fiction can educate us emotionally, intellectually and spiritually, says Beth Ann Fennelly, creative writing professor and poet laureate of Mississippi. She makes the case for why we humans — and the world — continue to need literature.

Saturday, May 3, 2025 10:00am - 11:30am at the Los Osos Library Children's Area. Bring your Pokémon cards to meet, compete, and trade with other collectors your age! All attendees will receive 1 card of their choosing from the librarian, while supplies last. Parents and guardians note: Staff will not monitor individual card trades. Please use good judgment with cards that you/your children are not comfortable trading.

Thursday, May 15, 2025 5:30pm - 6:45pm at Los Osos Library. Come read a script together! We will provide the script, assign roles, and read it together. This month is a Shakespeare comedy.

Friday, May 9, 2025 2:30pm - 4:30pm. Make origami with Librarian Emily at our monthly art party! We'll have supplies, directions and the determination to figure out the folding steps with you. Use your imagination to make unique art pieces using paper, pens, pencils, scissors, glue and more. All materials provided - you bring the inspiration! Creative options available for ages 3-12.
