Activities

This group, hosted by Nipomo Newcomers and Social Club, is for curious plant-lovers who are interested in gardening and agriculture. On the 2nd Thursday of every month, the group visits a local farm or business, followed by lunch. The size of the group is limited, but new members can be placed on a waitlist if the group is full. Intermediate to Advanced Bridge is offered, meeting in the Blacklake Community Room (Blacklake Golf Resort Bar & Grille, 1490 Golf Course Ln, Nipomo, CA 93444). Intermediate to advanced level players are welcome to join the groups. Bridge 1: 1st Wednesday at 1:00 PM. Bridge 2: 2nd & 3rd Wednesday at 1:00 PM

Nipomo Newcomers and Social Club members are invited to gather at Grover Beach on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month for a beach walk. Members walk at their own pace with either the ‘turtles’ or the ‘hares.’ The group sometimes goes to a local restaurant for coffee or a snack after their walk. This group welcomes new members. TGIF groups meet once a month at members’ homes for socializing. Each member or couple brings an appetizer and favorite beverage. Group size is limited, but new members are welcome when space is available. Currently there are 3 groups meeting at 5:30 PM on different Fridays of the month. Women of the Nipomo Newcomers and Social Club are invited to join our book groups (Group 1 and Group 2). Since members take turns hosting the meetings, the group size is limited. Both groups are currently open to women only. Book Group 1 meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 1:30 PM, and Book Group 2 meets on the 3rd Monday at 1:00 PM.
