Sensory Night at the Museum is designed for children on the Spectrum. This event takes place every quarter, on the second Thursday of the month, from 5-7pm. Sensory Nights are offered for free to kids on the autism spectrum and their families. These events structure museum exhibits to be "spectrum friendly" while providing a fun, easy environment for families to bond together and meet others. By providing an opportunity to play freely and explore the inviting interactive displays at the Children's Museum, these peaceful moments (free from therapists, doctors and other distractions) allow the children to begin to find themselves in a playful, jubilant way while sharing that joy with their families.
