The San Luis Obispo Library Book Club is a monthly book group for adults. We read a selection of recent fiction and non-fiction books. Join us the second Tuesday of each month from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm in the Conference Room at the SLO library. No registration is required.

Every Thursday from 10:30am - 11:00am at Cambria Library. This event is for children, babies & toddlers. Learning is fun at our lively Storytime! Join us for books, songs, and a lot of wiggling. All children are welcome.

S.T.E.A.M. Workshop for Kids occurs every Saturday from 11:00am - 12:00pm. This event is for all school-age children, from kindergarten to teenagers. We will meet at Santa Margarita Library to work on creative Science & Nature-based projects.

Friday, May 2, 2025 from 3:30 - 4:30 pm at Shell Beach Library. This event is for children 5-11 years old. Join us as the Master Food Preservers teach us how to make Ice Cream in a coffee can. Every Saturday from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at San Miguel Library. Children ages 5-11 are invited to engineer, build, and create with Legos. All bricks provided by the library.

Join us on the 3rd Friday of the month at Nipomo Library Community Room from 2:00pm - 4:30pm for Chess Club! Would you like to learn to play chess? Would you like to improve your chess strategy and meet other players? Join us on the third Friday of the month from 2:00-4:30. School ages to seniors are welcome!

May 2, 2025. Tweens and teens are invited to join us to play Nintendo Switch from 2:30pm - 4:30pm at Los Osos Library in the Children's Area. Master your gaming skills and make new friends with our Nintendo Switch! We will provide one Switch for up to 4 players at a time - feel free to bring your own too. Games include Mario Kart, Just Dance and Super Smash Bros.

May 10, 2025 from 10:30am - 11:30am at the Atascadero Library Memory Lab. This group is for adults hoping to improve their technology skills. Learn about our Memory Lab. Once you have completed the orientation, you can digitally archive your home VHS movies, photographs, audio cassettes, 8mm films, slides, film negatives, and more! SLO Library's Children's Center opens the 3d printer every day from 10 am - 5:30 pm. All ages are welcome to come and check it out. If you have a project you'd like us to print, make an appointment to bring your project file to the San Luis Obispo Library Children's department.

May 14, 2025 from 4:00pm - 5:30pm. All are welcome to join us at Cambria Library for a relaxing time playing board games. Fun for all ages!

On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 4:30pm-6:00pm, those in need of food are welcome to come to the Atascadero Library to receive free fresh produce, pantry staples and frozen meat. No ID required.

Every Friday from 1:00pm - 2:30pm at the Los Osos Library, get connected with primary care, recovery, clothing, food, Medicare, shelter, mental health, showers, health insurance, and more. No appointment needed.

On the first Saturday of the month, we hold a monthly book swap for children and teens from 2:00pm - 3:30pm. This event is held in the Children/Teen area at the SLO Library.

Monthly on the first Saturday from 9 - 10 am at the Arroyo Grande Library on the Library Lawn. "Fiction Addiction" is a book group for adults that meets the first Saturday of each month. Bring your own coffee and join in the conversation about a selected work of contemporary fiction.

May 13, 2025 from 4 - 5:30 pm. People pf all ages are invited to join us at Cambria Library to color or paint our stress away. (All supplies provided by Cambria Library).

Every Saturday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Cambria Library. This event is for children to tweens. Join us at the Cambria Library every Saturday at 2pm for a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) related craft or activity and fun movie! All films are rated PG.
