Project Surf Camp (PSC) is a charitable organization designed to educate individuals with special needs. Our mission is to build self confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy, and we provide opportunities to build social skills, improve physical fitness, develop healthy outlets for stress reduction, and foster independence.Our surf camps take place from June 11,2025 - July 12, 2025 between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Camp days are split into half-day sessions of 4-hours each.We focus on specialist intervention and providing individual feedback and support. Camps will be held at Morro Rock Beach near the Morro Creek outlet (Arrive first at Coleman Park on the Embarcadero, along the Harbor Walk, and we will caravan together to the beach). June 17-19, 2025 from 10am-12pm each day. For ages 6-12. We will explore illumination of all kinds & do a gallery walk through the art center for inspiration. We’ll talk about invisible things and how to make them visible, create invisible ink pens, and build a black light art gallery. There will even be a small art show to share our work with family & friends, celebrating light! $120/week includes all supplies and snacks. Our surf lessons are available year-round! We offer Morro Bay surf lessons at all ages, skill, and ability levels; we have four primary categories: Fundamental, Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Lessons are 1.5 hours long and provide all the gear you need, including Surfboard, Wetsuit, and Instructor. All surf lessons are private, so it will be just you, your family or friends and the instructor. Lesson start times are 10 am, 12:15 pm, and 2:30 pm. We teach surf lessons in Morro Bay everyday. We also teach surf lessons in Cayucos as well. All of our surfing locations are between 18-22 minutes west of San Luis Obispo. Depending on current surf conditions, location may vary to make sure we are surfing the best waves possible. Prices range from $75-120 per lesson. July 1-3, 2025. 10am-12pm. For Ages 6-12. Using textiles like fabric, yarn, paper and natural or synthetic material, fiber art connects with other cultures & exercises fine motor skills. July 8-10, 2025. 10am-12pm. For ages 6-12. Are you ready to get messy? We will be learning about printmaking tools & techniques that are sure to make a big impresson! Students will create a series of their own pop art style relief prints. We will also try Gyotaku, a traditional form of Japanese printing with real fish and seaweed on rice paper. $120/week includes all supplies and snacks.
