Meets weekly on Fridays from 6-8pm. SLOSM is a vibrant community where young people can grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and discover their purpose in Christ. We aim to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired to live out their Christian faith in their daily lives. Our interactive Bible studies help youth understand the Scriptures and apply Biblical principles to their everyday lives. We explore key themes like faith, love, service, and discipleship. We provide opportunities for building strong, Christ-centered friendships through group activities, discussions, and social events. Every Friday (6:00pm-8:00pm). Students will meet on Friday nights from 6-8pm in the gym for fun games and practical Biblical teaching. This is a great place for students to encourage their relationship with Jesus Christ and make lasting friendships with their peers.
Meets weekly on Fridays from 6:30-9 pm. This group takes place at Shelby Edgrens's house in SLO. Gatherings currently include dinner, fellowship, sermon discussions, and prayer. While Cal Poly is in session, we hold Shabbat dinners every week. We primarily host students but welcome all community members to join. During any breaks (i.e. winter, spring, and summer break) please email office@chabadslo.com to see if there is a dinner. Shabbat Dinner Times: Winter: 6:30 pm, Summer 7:30 pm. Erev Shabbat Services are held in our sanctuary Friday evenings at 7:00 pm (Congregation Beth David - 10180 Los Osos Valley Road • San Luis Obispo, California 93405) and broadcast on Zoom for those who prefer to join on-line. Worship is led by Rabbi Micah Hyman. Our Cantorial Soloist Mark Getten accompanies almost all services.
Every 2nd & 4th Friday of the month,you can test out those two left feet and see if you can Do-si-do with the best of them. This event starts at 7pm at KROBAR Craft Distillery, LLC (1701 Monterey St., San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, US). There is a $5 entry fee.
Greeters and ushers, called hospitality ministers, not only welcome people to Mass, but also assist throughout the mass. Most greeters help usher and assist with the collection. With seven masses every weekend and four sets of doors, we can always use ministers! If you enjoy greeting people, like to smile and are a good all-around host, we hope you will offer your service by speaking to one of our greeters or contacting the parish office at (805) 781-8220.
