Art After Dark is the event where art, culture, and community come to life! Art After Dark is a free, self-guided art walk taking place from 5pm to 8pm on the First Friday of each month. This event celebrates local creativity with visual exhibitions, live music, and community gatherings in SLO County galleries, businesses, and organizations. We encourage residents and visitors alike to explore the uniqueness of arts and culture here in SLO County., Next Art Walk: Friday, February 7, 2025 The first Friday of every month, 5–8 PM

October 11-12 and October 18-19, 2025. The San Luis Obispo County Open Studios Art Tour, a program of SLO County Arts Council, takes place each year over two weekends in October, National Arts and Humanities Month. Free to the public, fine artists and crafters open their studios to showcase their art and share their processes. Visitors create their own self-guided tours using the catalog of participating artists.
