Infant Baptism Preparation. Please call the Parish office to sign up for a preparation class and to register your infant for the Baptism. Parents and Godparents of children younger than 7 are required to take a class before the baptism of their child. The class can be taken at the parish where the baptism will be performed, or at any other Catholic parish. Godparents are expected to be practicing Catholics in full communion with the Church (baptism, first communion, confirmation), at least 16 years of age. We offer classes here at St. Patrick's. Join us in the Chapel at St. Patrick's Catholic Church on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Saturday of every month from 4:15 - 5 pm to honor our Heavenly Mother and present our needs for her intercession.
St. Patrick’s Church Jr. High Youth Ministry! We come together in fellowship to pray and worship, share our faith, and to participate in many fun events and activities! Our weekly Centering prayer group meets every Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel to encourage, support and share the spiritual journey. We 'Center' for 20 minutes, followed by offering verbal prayers and petitions to God. These groups meet in the parish Hall and Annex on Tuesday mornings. They produce amazing quilts and beautifully crafted items perfect for any décor. Their masterpieces are sold at our Annual Holiday Bazaar and Craft Fair. Proceeds are donated to the parish to support altar needs and related ministries. Classes are held at St. Patrick's School on Tuesday's, 4:00-5:15. All necessary paperwork is available in the forms section of our website. Parents please make sure to submit a registration form, as well as a permision waiver in order to complete your child's registration. St. Patrick's Food Pantry is open from 4:00 - 5:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The pantry provides food for those in need living in the Five Cities and Nipomo areas. Volunteers are needed to help pick up, organize, and distribute food and to clean the pantry. Volunteers are assigned days and times that fit with their personal schedules. Some volunteers just drop in whenever they are able. All are welcome. Email info@stpatsag.org or call 805-489-2680 for more information.
The K-6th Grade Program is designed to be used as ongoing Faith Formation. This program is for children either enrolled in a non-Catholic school or those participating in a home school program. Each class is staffed with two Catechists, and meets weekly with breaks for the holidays, as well as for summer. Classes are held at St. Patrick's School on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:15 pm. All necessary paperwork is available in the "forms" section of our website (https://www.stpatsag.org/youth-ministries/faith-formation). The fee for Faith Formation is $40 per child for the academic year.
