Jul 25 at 7:30 pm -10:30 pm. Desert surf rats cruising through the coast for a funky reggae surf rock show all the way from Tucson Arizona! The Hawthorne Experience, a band comprised of University of Arizona students: brothers Will and Kenny Belcher and Jonah Walsh-Hallman, got its start playing house parties and keggers for fun. During their shows, the band plays a combination of their own original songs as well as covers by well known bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala and Sublime. This event is 21+. Jul 26 from 2:00 pm -5:00 pm. ‘Peach and the Jam’ perform Rock and Roll/Americana music centered on the vibe and material of artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi, Delbert McClinton and John Hiatt. The members of the band have been performing on the central coast for decades and have all come together for the first time on this project. This event is 21+. The group has undergone several line-up changes over the years with Winston “Pipe” Matthews and Lloyd “Bread” McDonald the only constant members. This band puts in the work taking none of the traditional or convenient routes when crafting songs. Celebrating over 45 years since their founding in 1977, the GRAMMY Award-winning New Orleans-based Dirty Dozen Brass Band has taken the traditional foundation of brass band music and incorporated it into a blend of genres, including bebop jazz, funk and R&B/soul.
