6:00pm-7:30 pm, an LGBTQ Grief Support Group meets through Hospice SLO County, alternating between Zoom meetings and in-person every week. This support group for the LGBTQ+ community is designed to provide emotional support and education about the grief process and to bring comfort through connecting with like-minded individuals. Grief can manifest over many things, from death to losing a loved one due to their lack of affirmation. Every fourth Monday, 6:00pm to 8:00pm, the Ace and Aro Support Group meets! This is a safe, affirming space for folks under the umbrella of Asexual or Aromantic, who may feel no sexual attraction, no romantic attraction, or both. This critical new group meets in the library at the Gala Pride & Diversity Center.
We are a safe place for trans* and gender non-conforming people, as well as those questioning. The group is restricted to those between the ages of 11 and 18. This is a facilitated informal support group (not therapy) where we hold fund, safe space for trans and non-binary youth. It is a safe place to be heard, to share your story, and to hear stories that may sound surprisingly like your own, to eat snacks, play games, socialize, and hang out.
