Jack's Helping Hand
Little Riders is an adaptive horseback-riding program that is specifically designed for children with physical and cognitive disabilities ages 4-21. Equine therapy programs have been shown to help improve balance, strength, and coordination, resulting in increased mobility, independence, and overall function in a child with disabilities. Our program focuses on the benefits of working with horses and horseback riding. Classes take place weekly at the Imagination Park Equine Center in Nipomo. Lessons are led by Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) registered therapeutic riding instructors and a team of trained volunteers. Together, they create an encouraging setting where children can experience the miracles of working with horses.
