Social Activities in Arroyo Grande
The City of Arroyo Grande's Adult Basketball League plays three seasons: Spring, Summer, and Fall. Teams register for their specific league/night. Teams play once a week on their league night during the season. This season is 10-weeks long, including play-offs. This is a fun and competitive adult basketball league with playoff and championship rounds. Leagues play on Monday - Thursday nights at the Oceano Community Center (1425 19th Street, Oceano). Game times are traditionally 6:30 PM, 7:30PM, & 8:30 PM with divisions offered for Mixed Level, Upper, Middle, and Lower. Dignity Health Central Coast is pleased to host ongoing support group meetings for individuals that have experienced a stroke and/or caregivers. GriefShare is a faith-based grief recovery support group for those who have lost a loved one or friend through death. GriefShare is here to help you face your challenges and its intent is to help you move forward in rebuilding your life. The 13-week session meets in the Fellowship Hall every Monday at 3pm, and the next open seminar session begins Monday, August 4th. As a participant, you will receive a journaling workbook that will allow you personal study and reflection time, and you are welcome to join the group at any time during the course of this 13-week session. The K-6th Grade Program is designed to be used as ongoing Faith Formation. This program is for children either enrolled in a non-Catholic school or those participating in a home school program. Each class is staffed with two Catechists, and meets weekly with breaks for the holidays, as well as for summer. Classes are held at St. Patrick's School on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:15 pm. All necessary paperwork is available in the "forms" section of our website (https://www.stpatsag.org/youth-ministries/faith-formation). The fee for Faith Formation is $40 per child for the academic year.
