Project Surf Camp (PSC) is a charitable organization designed to educate individuals with special needs. Our mission is to build self confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy, and we provide opportunities to build social skills, improve physical fitness, develop healthy outlets for stress reduction, and foster independence.Our surf camps take place from June 11,2025 - July 12, 2025 between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Camp days are split into half-day sessions of 4-hours each.We focus on specialist intervention and providing individual feedback and support. Camps will be held at Morro Rock Beach near the Morro Creek outlet (Arrive first at Coleman Park on the Embarcadero, along the Harbor Walk, and we will caravan together to the beach). June 17-19, 2025 from 10am-12pm each day. For ages 6-12. We will explore illumination of all kinds & do a gallery walk through the art center for inspiration. We’ll talk about invisible things and how to make them visible, create invisible ink pens, and build a black light art gallery. Our surf lessons are available year-round! We offer Morro Bay surf lessons at all ages, skill, and ability levels; we have four primary categories: Fundamental, Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Lessons are 1.5 hours long and provide all the gear you need, including Surfboard, Wetsuit, and Instructor. All surf lessons are private, so it will be just you, your family or friends and the instructor. Lesson start times are 10 am, 12:15 pm, and 2:30 pm. We teach surf lessons in Morro Bay everyday. We also teach surf lessons in Cayucos as well. All of our surfing locations are between 18-22 minutes west of San Luis Obispo. Depending on current surf conditions, location may vary to make sure we are surfing the best waves possible. Prices range from $75-120 per lesson. Jun 16, 2025 - Jun 20, 2025. Monday to Friday. Time: 1:00pm - 4:00pm. This class is for ages 6-8. Location: 3533 Empleo St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. This one-week musical theatre camp is open to all experience levels. Along with theatre and improv games, students will sing, dance, and act as they work together to bring to life an abridged version of a popular musical. The class will end with a celebratory sharing for family and friends. Please note that repeated titles will be adapted for that class’ age range. This class will end with a “sharing” for family and friends on Friday, June 20. Because a good portion of our camp time will be spent preparing for the sharing, daily attendance is strongly encouraged. The Teen Center is located inside the Colony Park Community Center. In addition to offering a variety of fun games and sports for teens from 6th grade to 12th grade, including air hockey, pool, ping pong, Xbox, movies, boardgames, dodgeball and basketball. Staff at the Teen Center also run activities and play games with the teens daily. Teen Center membership is only $20/year and scholarships are available. Volunteers in this role set up a table with hygiene products and towels at 3:45 PM in order to be ready to sign folks up at 4 PM when the site opens to the public. At 4 PM, guests will begin to arrive and volunteers sign up interested individuals for the shower program, and make sure they have a towel and shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The last shower guest can enter at 5:15 PM and needs to be out of the shower at 5:30 PM.
