Are you interested in helping to provide food for low income families in our community? ALF Food Pantry is in need of volunteers to to hand out pre-filled boxes and produce to clients. Volunteers self schedule and there are no minimum requirements. Food distribution to clients is 1 - 3PM Monday through Friday, and shifts for baggers are 12:45 to 3:15PM. Along with theatre and improv games, students will sing, dance, and act as they work together to bring to life an abridged version of a popular musical. The class will end with a celebratory sharing for family and friends. This class will end with a “sharing” for family and friends on Friday, July 11. 6:00pm-7:30 pm, an LGBTQ Grief Support Group meets through Hospice SLO County, alternating between Zoom meetings and in-person every week. This support group for the LGBTQ+ community is designed to provide emotional support and education about the grief process and to bring comfort through connecting with like-minded individuals. Grief can manifest over many things, from death to losing a loved one due to their lack of affirmation. Every Monday, 6:30 – 7:30pm. For ages 11 yrs - Adult. This class is for female dancers who maintain a minimum of two Ballet 3 or Intermediate classes per week and can demonstrate both a comprehensive knowledge and proficient application of classical ballet technique. The class develops pointe technique with correct placement and épaulement, with emphasis on lifted transitions ascending to and descending from pointe, and a musical, pleasing aesthetic. Instructor: Theresa Slobodnik. Concurrent enrollment in Ballet 3b-Mon-5pm is required. $20 per class

Central Coast Youth Environmental Stewardship (CC YES) Program. CC YES is a FREE adventure-based, environmental and climate literacy program for middle school students from groups that are underrepresented in the outdoors and STEM: Programs run Monday through Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Sessions include: June 16-20; June 23-37; and June 30 - July 3. Groups are kept at a 15 participant maximum. Our experience-based learning includes Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and NOAA’s Essential Principles of Climate Literacy, leadership skills, traditional ecological knowledge, hands-on learning, and outdoor adventures. Activities include hiking, kayaking, nature journaling, hands-on learning, and more! Participants will visit various locations throughout San Luis Obispo County including: Downtown San Luis Obispo (Terrace Hill, Bishop’s Peak and Cerro San Luis); City Farm SLO and Prefumo Creek Trail; Los Osos Creek Wetlands Preserve; Montaña de Oro State Park; Morro Bay (estuary, Black Hill, kayaking in the bay); Avila Beach and Cal Poly Center for Coastal Marine Sciences pier.
