The practice is still informed and led by the breath with plenty of options and guidance to take your poses to the next level. This class is perfect if you want to explore and play with variations of traditional postures and give yourself a challenge. Central Coast Youth Environmental Stewardship (CC YES) Program. CC YES is a FREE adventure-based, environmental and climate literacy program for middle school students from groups that are underrepresented in the outdoors and STEM: Programs run Monday through Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. Sessions include: June 16-20; June 23-37; and June 30 - July 3. Groups are kept at a 15 participant maximum. Our experience-based learning includes Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and NOAA’s Essential Principles of Climate Literacy, leadership skills, traditional ecological knowledge, hands-on learning, and outdoor adventures. Activities include hiking, kayaking, nature journaling, hands-on learning, and more! Participants will visit various locations throughout San Luis Obispo County including: Downtown San Luis Obispo (Terrace Hill, Bishop’s Peak and Cerro San Luis); City Farm SLO and Prefumo Creek Trail; Los Osos Creek Wetlands Preserve; Montaña de Oro State Park; Morro Bay (estuary, Black Hill, kayaking in the bay); Avila Beach and Cal Poly Center for Coastal Marine Sciences pier.
