Morro Bay In Bloom hosts a social gardening session every Wednesday and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This is a fun and hands-on community-building experience. Join us when you can! We’ll design custom buttons and patches, make zines, dye t-shirts, and more. It’s a blend of hands-on making and creative prompts to encourage kids to express who they are in their own way. In this camp, creative kids will get to explore a wide variety of art and craft techniques—from bookbinding and weaving to dyeing and hand sewing. Each day features new materials or projects, making it a perfect fit for curious kids who like to experiment and try new things. The class is more advanced than the Monday beginning level class but not as complex as the Intermediate adult ballet classes on Wednesday or Saturday. High energy and high fun. Project Surf Camp (PSC) is a charitable organization designed to educate individuals with special needs. Our mission is to build self confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy, and we provide opportunities to build social skills, improve physical fitness, develop healthy outlets for stress reduction, and foster independence.Our surf camps take place from June 11,2025 - July 12, 2025 between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Camp days are split into half-day sessions of 4-hours each.We focus on specialist intervention and providing individual feedback and support. Camps will be held at Morro Rock Beach near the Morro Creek outlet (Arrive first at Coleman Park on the Embarcadero, along the Harbor Walk, and we will caravan together to the beach). Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9:00am-10:00am at San Luis Obispo County YMCA - Group Exercise (Studio 2). This is the original barbell class that challenges all major muscle groups. Our class uses a weighted bar and plates to individualize your workout. Set to fun and energetic music with high-energy and motivating instructors.
Every Saturday 9–11am at Veggie Field 173 Buckley Road San Luis Obispo, California 93401. Saturday morning volunteers keep the farm operations running smoothly. Join us for farm care activities, which may include planting, field preparations, painting, and more! We welcome volunteers of all ages & skill levels! Firstfruits Farm SLO is a working farm and we'll be playing in the dirt. Closed-toe shoes are required. We recommend volunteers wear long pants and dress in layers for the weather. We encourage volunteers to take breaks and stay hydrated. Snacks and drinks will be available, but please bring your reusable water bottle. A portable restroom is available on site.
