Morro Bay In Bloom hosts a social gardening session every Wednesday and Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This is a fun and hands-on community-building experience. Join us when you can! Project Surf Camp (PSC) is a charitable organization designed to educate individuals with special needs. Our mission is to build self confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy, and we provide opportunities to build social skills, improve physical fitness, develop healthy outlets for stress reduction, and foster independence.Our surf camps take place from June 11,2025 - July 12, 2025 between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Camp days are split into half-day sessions of 4-hours each.We focus on specialist intervention and providing individual feedback and support. Camps will be held at Morro Rock Beach near the Morro Creek outlet (Arrive first at Coleman Park on the Embarcadero, along the Harbor Walk, and we will caravan together to the beach). July 28-30. 9:00am - 3:00 pm each day. For ages 8-14. Make bold, personal art that tells your story! This creative camp encourages kids to express who they are through art. We’ll design custom buttons and patches, make zines, dye t-shirts, and more. It’s a blend of hands-on making and creative prompts to encourage kids to express who they are in their own way. No two projects will be the same—just like our campers. All materials included. This Camp will take place in 3 locations! Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9:00am-10:00am at San Luis Obispo County YMCA - Group Exercise (Studio 2). This is the original barbell class that challenges all major muscle groups. Our class uses a weighted bar and plates to individualize your workout. Set to fun and energetic music with high-energy and motivating instructors.
Shabbat Morning Torah Minyan is held every Saturday morning at 9:15 am. Led by Rabbi Hyman, this service is a more traditional daven with the weekly Parsha reading.
Open Arms Pantry is our ministry that provides food for the hungry in our community. Working in conjunction with the SLO County Food Bank, Open Arms Pantry provides food to those in need every Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 am, and throughout the week on a walk-in basis. Every week, we serve well over 200 local families - something we can only do by the grace of God and the generosity of our volunteers! 9:30 am every Saturday. Social Hour is a single-session manners and socialization training class for puppies age 10 weeks to 5 months. Classes are ongoing. We will teach some basic puppy manners, using positive reinforcement, including “sit” “down” and “come.” Your puppy will also gets tips on how to walk nicely on the leash without pulling and greet people without jumping. We’ll show you how to inhibit your puppy's bite during play and how to manage chewing and the crazy “zoomies.” If you are struggling with food or object guarding, housetraining, or any other issues, our experienced dog training staff will be available to help you through any of these puppy behaviors.
