Meets Fridays at 6:30 pm at The Den in SLO, CA. We’re forming a Life Group for young men with one purpose: to hold each other accountable and provide encouragement as we navigate the challenges of lustful desires. We believe there are far too many young men who feel alone in this struggle, unable to express their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. This group is designed to be a safe, judgment-free zone where you can open up, share, and be heard. Together, we’ll create an atmosphere of honesty, support, and accountability—lifting one another up and guiding each other toward the right path. RSVP: flames2025@gmail.com or flintjmiller2004@icloud.com. To join group, visit: https://myactivechurch.churchcenter.com/groups/young-adult-life-groups/slo-men-hosted-by-fabian-and-flint

While Cal Poly is in session, we hold Shabbat dinners every week. We primarily host students but welcome all community members to join. During any breaks (i.e. winter, spring, and summer break) please email office@chabadslo.com to see if there is a dinner. Shabbat Dinner Times: Winter: 6:30 pm, Summer 7:30 pm. You can always email Sophie at office@chabadslo.com to ensure there are no changes. We hold dinner in our tent, and at night it can be a little chilly, so please dress appropriately. Greeters and ushers, called hospitality ministers, not only welcome people to Mass, but also assist throughout the mass. Most greeters help usher and assist with the collection. With seven masses every weekend and four sets of doors, we can always use ministers! If you enjoy greeting people, like to smile and are a good all-around host, we hope you will offer your service by speaking to one of our greeters or contacting the parish office at (805) 781-8220.

As a weekend puppy parent, you will be assigned a dog to take home on weekends. You will be expected to pick up the dog from The California Men’s Colony on Fridays each week and keep them for the weekend to expose them to everyday life. This option is great for people who cannot commit to having a dog full time, or for first time puppy raisers who want to get a feel for what it is like without making the full commitment. As a weekend puppy parent, you will be expected to take your dog on outings to generalize their training and prepare them for their future job as a service dog. Service dogs in training can go with you to the grocery store, movie theater, restaurants, and many more locations. You are encouraged to take your dogs on outings to expose them to new environments and practice good public manners in all settings.
