Every Wednesday from 8:45am to 12:15pm. This volunteer position involves assisting the Ranger Service Division with hand-built sections of trail construction projects under the guidance and supervision of City staff. With volunteers’ consistent support, the Ranger Service can keep multiple trail projects going simultaneously and build more trail! Wednesday shifts are generally from 8:45 AM to 12:30 PM. June 18 @ 9:30 am - July 30 @ 11:30 am. $60.00 for the 7-week session, which meets June 18th through July 30th, 2025 on Wednesdays from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Play, learn, and grow with our morning playgroup, Little Acorns! Join for games, songs, crafts, gardening, and snacks. Most of all, we have the opportunity to make connections with nature and with other families at the SLO Botanical Garden. This program is geared toward children 0 – 3 and their parents, and older siblings are welcome! This group is for those who want to enjoy a stroll around downtown San Luis Obispo, meet new people, and get some exercise. Waivers will need to be signed by each member in the walking group in order to participate. We walk at various locations in San Luis Obispo on the third Wednesday of Each Month. Taught by a Cuesta College Emeritus instructor, this class uses discussions, worksheets, and TED Talks to cover an eclectic array of topics with the goal of keeping your brain active! A level of commitment and regular attendance is recommended. This event is held weekly on Wednesdays from 1-3pm at SLO Senior Center (1445 Santa Rosa St.) and attendance is free.
