Class session is Aug 1, 2025 - Aug 28, 2025. This class continues and builds on our introduction to karate classes and is designed for those who have attained white or yellow belt status in our system or other systems of karate. Study is a little more demanding with introduction to approximately nine more forms. Kicking, punching, blocking and stances become more precise and functional as these moves and the katas are more refined. Students are introduced to both individual and paired self-defense drills as well as proper falling techniques. Physical fitness is continued as are opportunities to study and expand on one's own journey into self-defense techniques. Intermediate classes are offered Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 PM. Class is held in the Centennial Park Banquet Room B on Mondays and Thursdays and in the Centennial Park Acorn Room on Tuesdays. Classes are taught by internationally ranked 7th degree Okinawan black belt Ted Jacobson of Shorin-Ryu Karate. This class if for YMCA members and takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30-6:30 pm in Studio 2. This class will emphasize core strength, flexibility, balance, and concentration. The class is for all levels, including beginners. You'll be guaranteed to leave class in a positive state of spirit, mind and body.
May 29, 2025 02:18 PM - 02:48 PM. Join ArtSocial 805 in Paso Robles for their Ladies Night on select Thursdays from 5:30-7:30pm. Participants can choose a canvas that they would like to paint and their own image. They can also choose mixed media or watercolor. This will be a night of exploration and a time for Participants to just relax in the studio and make something of their own. Much of this will be self guided although there will be artists on-site who can help. Anyone who would like to paint a pottery piece will be asked to pay for that individual item, but everything else is provided by ArtSocial 805. Q Youth is a weekly every thursday group for LGBTQ+ youth between 6th and 12th grade! This is an informal social gathering (not therapy) where we hold fun, safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth in middle and high school to eat snacks, play games, socialize, and hang out. Time: 6:00 – 8:00pm.

This class is for high-intermediate through advanced dancers studying a minimum of two ballet classes per week (Ballet 3 & up).
