Join us in the fight against hunger as a Warehouse Volunteer and play a vital role in supporting the SLO Food Bank's mission to provide nutritious food to families in need across our community. Are you interested in helping to provide food for low income families in our community? ALF Food Pantry is in need of volunteers to to hand out pre-filled boxes and produce to clients. Volunteers self schedule and there are no minimum requirements. Food distribution to clients is 1 - 3PM Monday through Friday, and shifts for baggers are 12:45 to 3:15PM. Use It or Lose It! This class is a combination of learning and socializing for adults 55+. Taught by a Cuesta College Emeritus instructor, this class uses discussions, worksheets, and TED Talks to cover an eclectic array of topics with the goal of keeping your brain active! A level of commitment and regular attendance is recommended. This event is held weekly on Wednesdays from 1-3pm at SLO Senior Center (1445 Santa Rosa St.) and attendance is free.

We will push colors around, discover what we can do with the brushes, and enjoy the process. Your results will let you discover the possibilities that watercolor offers you. We will work with various subjects and explore different approaches. You will find your best approach, along with your favored palette of colors. As we progress, we will experience and develop the basic techniques of watercolor painting and realize the characteristics of the medium. This class is designed for adults, including beginners and those with watercolor experience who wish to expand their knowledge of painting in watercolors. The Teen Center is a free facility featuring video games, music, pool table, small cafe and much more. Located between Georgia Brown Dual Immersion Program and Paso Robles High School, the center is easily accessible to our young community members. The Teen Center is open to ages 6th through 12th grades and also enjoys access to the adjacent full-court gymnasium for drop-in basketball and other sports! The Teen Center is a non-custodial program. Participants will sign in but staff does not track when they come and go. Hours: Monday: Gym is open from 1:30pm-5pm, Teen Center from 2pm-5pm; Tuesday through Thursday: Gym is open from 2:30pm-5pm, Teen Center from 3pm-5pm.
