Project Surf Camp (PSC) is a charitable organization designed to educate individuals with special needs. Our mission is to build self confidence, self-esteem, and self-efficacy, and we provide opportunities to build social skills, improve physical fitness, develop healthy outlets for stress reduction, and foster independence.Our surf camps take place from June 11,2025 - July 12, 2025 between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Camp days are split into half-day sessions of 4-hours each.We focus on specialist intervention and providing individual feedback and support. Camps will be held at Morro Rock Beach near the Morro Creek outlet (Arrive first at Coleman Park on the Embarcadero, along the Harbor Walk, and we will caravan together to the beach). Every Friday. 9 AM-10:15 AM (75 min). Subtle Body yoga is a kundalini yoga inspired class that focuses on awareness and energetic shifts. Physical postures, breathing practices and chanting are used to positively impact the flow of energy in the body. Class includes a combination of dynamic and still postures, with an emphasis on being a witness to your experience. In this Wednesday evening class you can expect to work your physical body while also getting a nourishing energetic reset. Class includes a sound bath savasana. Benefits of this class include releasing stress and energetic/emotional tension, increasing immunity, improving respiratory function, giving your nervous system a tune-up and giving the body and mind a deep rest and reset in savasana. We’ll talk about invisible things and how to make them visible, create invisible ink pens, and build a black light art gallery. Friday, July 25, 2025 10:00am to 4:00pm | COST: $90.00 Members, $110.00 Non-members. This class offers a choice of patterns and materials to create a glass project of your choice. You will learn how to cut glass, copper foil, solder, and hang your project. Glass and use of tools using the copper foil method of construction are included in the class. You will leave with a completed piece of art, ready to hang and appropriate for indoor or outdoor display. Please note: if you would like to create wind chimes with wooden elements, please bring some branches or driftwood with you to class. Our surf lessons are available year-round! We offer Morro Bay surf lessons at all ages, skill, and ability levels; we have four primary categories: Fundamental, Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced. Lessons are 1.5 hours long and provide all the gear you need, including Surfboard, Wetsuit, and Instructor. All surf lessons are private, so it will be just you, your family or friends and the instructor. Lesson start times are 10 am, 12:15 pm, and 2:30 pm. We teach surf lessons in Morro Bay everyday. We also teach surf lessons in Cayucos as well. All of our surfing locations are between 18-22 minutes west of San Luis Obispo. Depending on current surf conditions, location may vary to make sure we are surfing the best waves possible. Prices range from $75-120 per lesson. Students will create a series of their own pop art style relief prints. We will also try Gyotaku, a traditional form of Japanese printing with real fish and seaweed on rice paper. $120/week includes all supplies and snacks. Every Friday, 6:30–8:30pm PDT. Shoreline Calvary, 2050 Ironwood Ave, Morro Bay, CA 93442. Every Friday night from 6:30-8pm, we gather as a youth group to grow in our relationship with Jesus through Bible study and fellowship. Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers meet separately, but occasionally they combine for part or all of the evening. On a typical Friday night, we will play a fun, interactive game for 30 minutes, then we transition to studying God’s word together. After Bible study, we will then again enjoy some fun games and fellowship with one another. Our vision is to guide students in the process of being devoted disciples of Christ, through the studying of the Word and deepening relationships with others.
Jul 25 at 7:30 pm -10:30 pm. Desert surf rats cruising through the coast for a funky reggae surf rock show all the way from Tucson Arizona! The Hawthorne Experience, a band comprised of University of Arizona students: brothers Will and Kenny Belcher and Jonah Walsh-Hallman, got its start playing house parties and keggers for fun. During their shows, the band plays a combination of their own original songs as well as covers by well known bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Tame Impala and Sublime. This event is 21+.
